Bruce Anderson Heath

Bruce Anderson Heath, 73, of Ossineke passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bruce was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 22, 1952, to the late Irving and Shirley (Anderson) Heath, and served in the United States Navy. He married Carolyn Earley on February 11, 1993. Bruce worked as a database manager and software developer for Correct Tech, continuing until most recently as a consultant. He was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church, Alpena County Republican Party and an avid billiards player.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; 2 sons, Joshua Heath, Jeremy Heath; grandson, Brayden Heath; 4 siblings, Ellen Monnig, Anne Heath, Sarah (Stefano Migliuolo) Heath; Douglas (Tinne) Heath; several nieces and nephews

Bruce was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, David Monnig.

Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Hope Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Bryan R. Salminen officiating. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Richard Herman Bartz

Richard Herman Bartz, 86, of Ossineke passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Richard was born in Alpena on May 13, 1939, to the late Herman and Clara (Dege) Bartz and married Patricia Eastom on August 6, 1960. He worked and retired from Huron Portland Cement Plant and later worked for the millwright union. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; 2 sons; two sons, Mark (Kendra) Bartz, Scott (Susan) Bartz; 5 grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Nathan Bartz, Lindsey (Sean) Ferris, Monica (fiancé, Will Talaske) Bartz, Ethan Abrehart; 3 great grandchildren, Jaxon Moore, Kensi Moore, Bennett Talaske; 4 siblings, Louis Bartz, Lawrence Bartz, Darrell (Reiko) Bartz, Christine (Charlie) Pake; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by son, Richard "Rick" Bartz Jr.; daughter, Lisa Bartz; 2 brothers, Gary Bartz and Randy Bartz.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Hope Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Bryan R. Salminen officiating. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
